Terms

Private beta terms of use

What you get, what you do not get, and what we expect from you.

Pending legal review. The three clauses marked below — warranties, limitation of liability and governing law — are a first drafting by the operator and have not been reviewed by a qualified professional. Until that review is done we will not rely on them against a user, and we will publish the reviewed wording here. Everything else on this page describes how the service actually works today.

Who you are contracting with

ORSTYDE is operated by Perpetua Group LLC (Wyoming, United States), registered office 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. “We”, “us” and “ORSTYDE” mean that entity throughout these terms.

What the service does

ORSTYDE answers which regulatory requirements apply to a product in given markets, which tests they imply, and which laboratories are officially qualified for those tests. Every row carries a truth status and a chain back to an archived official document.

What the service does not do

  • It is decision support, not legal advice, and not a certification, approval or conformity assessment. Placing a compliant product on a market remains the responsibility of the party doing so.
  • It does not guarantee that a source is exhaustive or current: what is unknown is returned as unknown rather than filled in.
  • It does not contact a laboratory on your behalf, and it does not order a test. Requests and orders are sent by a human and recorded afterwards.

Accounts and keys

  • Access during the private beta is by invitation, through an API key issued by the operator.
  • You are responsible for keeping your key secret. Keys are scoped, can carry a spending limit, and can be revoked at any time.
  • Do not use the service to circumvent access controls of third-party sites, to scrape at a rate that harms anyone, or to present ORSTYDE answers as an official position of an authority.

Prices

Beta prices are an explicit hypothesis, published with a version identifier, and may change. The binding amount is always the quote returned for your product before purchase.

Availability

The private beta is provided as is, without a service-level commitment. Planned interruptions and incidents are reported to beta participants.

Warranties

ORSTYDE is provided as is during the private beta. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, that a source is exhaustive or current, or that an answer is fit for a particular regulatory filing. What we do warrant is the method: every row states its truth status and points at the document it came from, and what is unknown is returned as unknown.

Limitation of liability

ORSTYDE is decision support. The decision to place a product on a market, to select a laboratory or to rely on an answer remains yours. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Perpetua Group LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost contracts, delay in certification, or the cost of retesting — arising from the use of the service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, in particular liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, where Perpetua Group LLC is formed. Where you deal with us as a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence.

Status of the three clauses above. Warranties, limitation of liability and governing law are the operator's own drafting, awaiting review by a qualified professional. They are published so that you can read the terms you are being offered, not because they have been validated. If you are relying on them for a decision, write to us first.
